When good souls leave us we find ourselves in shock. When their presences is no longer part of our living routine life loses pieces of meaning. Our hearts want time to rewind, our minds want answers to why. The world doesn't seem bright enough, doesn't sound cheerful enough, even the air around us doesn't seem light enough.
For what feels like eternity our vision has no clarity and although we would like to call it anger the truth of the matter is we are hurt. Down for the count and emotionally stunned. It's been said that time and prayer heal all wounds; but how do we see our way through time with our vision clouded in grief?
We remember, we remember the prayers we have had answered. The request to take away the pain, the plea to give relief. We remember that our prayers will be answers, maybe not the way we wish but they are answered.
We live our lives remembering our loved ones, knowing that suffering is a thing of their past and they have moved on to paradise. Free of struggle, strife, and pain.
We keep praying and believing, but we keep fighting and achieving just as we know our loved ones would want us to.
